Regular MOTORmag.com.au readers will no doubt have seen our recent drag race video between the Ford Falcon XR8 and Holden VF II Commodore Redline.
Well, on the day it just so happens that we had HSV's new Clubsport R8 LSA to hand as well, so it would've been rude not to repeat the experiment and see what happened.
On paper it's a bit of a one-sided affair, with the Clubsport's 400kW/671Nm 6.2-litre supercharged V8 trouncing the XR8's 335kW/570Nm.
As we know, though, Ford are being a little bit cute with the XR8's official figures as it has an overboost function that can lift outputs by up to 15 per cent in the right conditions.
Is it enough for the $55K XR8 to give the $80K Clubsport a bloody nose? Both auto, both supercharged V8s, both very fast - but which one is fastest?
