Renault has produced another Red Bull special edition version of its Megane RS hot hatch, reflecting its close relationship as an engine supplier to the reigning Formula 1 world championship team.

The Megane RS Red Bull Racing RB8, featuring an exclusive 'Crepuscule Blue' finish, will be marketed in 26 countries, including Australia, where the first of 120 cars will arrive late this year.

This limited edition version of the 198kW/360Nm hatch marks the launch of Renault’s in-dash ‘R-Link’ multimedia tablet for all Megane RS’s, offering six functions (navigation, telephony, multimedia, vehicle, systems and R-Link Store apps catalogue).

As well, the Red Bull special, features version 2.0 of the on-board ‘RS Monitor’ data logging system, offering a special Red Bull Racing home page, certain information displayed in 3D form, plus real-time access to data including power output, 0-100km/h times, and g-force.

Pricing is yet to be announced, but expect a premium over the existing car’s $49,990 price tag.
