Sebastien Loeb has joined the World Rallycross grid for 2016, driving a 410kW Peugot 208 GTi for Team Peugeot Hansen.
Loeb joins a star-studded line-up, including Ken Block, Mattias Ekstrom and winner of the last two World Rallycross titles, fellow former World Rally Champion Petter Solberg.
Since his retirement from full time WRC competition in 2012, Loeb has kept busy competing (and winning) in a variety of disciplines, including French Porsche Carrera Cup, the World Touring Car Championship Pikes Peak and, this year, the Dakar rally.
His only previous experience in rallycross is during the 2012 X Games, but given he blew away some of the world's best rallycross drivers, it's probably reasonable to expect Loeb won't take too long to get a handle on things.
The 2016 World Rallycross championship kicks off in Portugal on April 15.
