A very heavily customised Bentley Coninental GT has been sold in the UK for £40,800, or just $69,000 of our own dollars.

But it’s not just a ‘custom’ car with a few mechanical tweaks or some interior modifications. This is a properly brutal off-roader Conti.

Having been transformed on the National Geographic series Supercar Megabuild, the Continental is actually road-legal in the UK, and retains its original 6.0-litre W12 Bentley donk.

Bentley-Continental-GT-rally-car-headlights.jpgThe listing which was on eBay UK while the car was being auctioned said the car has had £25,000 worth of upgrades and modifications to turn it into an off roader. It’s also done a fair few kays, however – with the last service recorded being done at 119,000 miles (or 191,471km).

In a show of honesty, the listing calls for a buyer who has “mechanical knowhow to turn it into a true Dakar rally vehicle.”

Bentley-Continental-GT-rally-rear.jpgFour-wheel-drive, two adjustable racing shocks per corner, all-terrain tyres, a rollcage, and bash plates mean this beast is no poseur – it’s even got mounted bars, lights, and a spare wheel with space for jerry cans.

It does, however, retain some of its Bentley luxury.

Inside is a leather sports interior with heated seats, a leather wheel with paddle shifters, dual-climate air con, and controls to adjust the ride height.

If you’re not keen on the khaki green, fear not. It’s just a wrap. Underneath the car is still its original Silver Metallic. So no need to worry about originality, then…
