If Audi’s new A7 Sportback is a sign of things to come from Ingolstadt, then there’s reason for optimism.

The steering is fast and accurate, and offers the best feel of any Audi set-up this side of a TT RS.

It eats up fast sections of road, and copes well with smooth and choppy surfaces alike. For a big car – it weighs nearly 1.8 tonnes – it’s also surprisingly agile.

Choosing either of the 3.0-litre engines – petrol or diesel – will provide you with enough power, but we’re still looking forward to the more powerful S7.
